The Supported Organisations feature allows a Lead organisation to register a Supported Organisation on the ISG.
This may be required in situations where the organisation lacks the administrative support to set themselves up on the ISG.
Before registering a supported organisation, you must ensure you have permission from the organisation to do so.
A Supported Organisation can only be registered by an administrator. When you register a Supported Organisation, you will then also hold the administrator role at the Supported Organisation.
You can then add any necessary users to the Supported Organisation. Again, you will need to ensure that you have informed these users you will be adding them to the Supported Organisation.
The Supported Organisation will be registered under your admin group, meaning you are financially responsible for the licenses assigned to them.
Before you register a Supported Organisation, there are some alternative options to consider:
- You can add the organisation to your Data Sharing Summary or DPIA from the ICO Register Results. Please see How to Add an External Sharing Organisation. You can then contact the organisation and ask them to sign up to the ISG. When they sign up, they will be included in your Data Sharing Summary or DPIA.
- You can contact the organisation and ask them to sign up to the ISG. Once signed up, you can add them to your Data Sharing Summary or DPIA by selecting them from the ISG Results.
Viewing Your Supported Organisations
If you are part of a Lead organisation your Supported Organisations will be shown in the Supported Organisations tab like the example below:
This gives you a snapshot idea to how each supported organisation is progressing in their set up.
If you are a member of a supported organisation you can click the organisation name to access it.
If your organisation is a Supported Organisation this page will not be available to you.
