Understanding the Contacts Tab

You can add any additional organisations or other contributors that are involved in the Asset in the contacts tab. The contacts tab is also where you will add the Information Asset Owner and Information Asset Administrator.

Access to viewing and editing an asset is restricted to the following:

• All users from the authoring organisation or from any organisation added in the contacts tab will automatically have access to view the Asset.
• Any user with any role (apart from the viewer role) from the authoring organisation has the ability to edit the asset, users from organisations involved must be added as a contributor to allow them to make any edits.

Contributors will receive an email notification letting them know when they have been added as a contributor.

The contacts page is split into two sections the organisations and contributors:

Organisations

In the organisations section of this tab you will see each organisations information including name, ICO registration number, Assurance status, how many members have been added as contributors and confirmation that they are registered on the ISG.

You can also view comments for each organisation by clicking the speech bubble in the comments column.

Contributors

Contributors are users who have been invited to be involved in the asset from the organisations involved. The contributors sections lists which users are currently contributors along with information such as email address, organisation and their roles. To view any comments for each contributor just click the speech bubble in the comments column.
